The Notorious R.B.G in her own words:
“If you want to be a true professional, you will do something outside yourself.Something to repair tears in your community. Something to make life a little better for people less fortunate than you. That’s what I think a meaningful life is- living not for oneself, but for one’s community. “
She applied her strong believes to her life.
She lost her mentors at a very early age, her mother and her oldest sister, still was able to teach her self to question anything and everything.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was petite, very humble, smarter than her piers, she excelled in high school, she was leading at Cornell, top of her class at Harvard and Columbia law schools, she did it while she was taking care of her family, raising children and taking care of a her then sick husband, unfortunately she had all doors closed in front her to practice as a lawyer because she was a woman.
She fought for gender equality and for the less fortunate, changed a system that did not consider women as smart individuals, women wouldn’t have the opportunity to excel on anything if it was not for honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, changed laws that were outdated.
She will always be remembered as one of a kind, selfless, devoted to justice and all about gender equality.
