A success with the smell of willpower and nostalgia for Constantine
Native of Constantine, it is in this ancient city that Flo Medjdoub was born. Attached to its culture and its heritage of which it has kept all the characteristics. The calm of the old quarter, the quiet cafes where this full-bodied smell or the sound of folklore emanating from the windows of the houses, remind her of youth memories.
It is in the footsteps of the young Constantinian who loves life and who has a crazy passion for running, that we will walk to project ourselves towards a future that she still ignores but whose path seems already mapped out. She discovers very early the joys and the pleasure of running, without knowing that this discipline will lead her to paths full of surprises. If you’re not sure what to do yet, let yourself be guided by Flo’s itinerary.
The song of exile, like a cry from the heart!
Oh mother country, native Algeria, several years have passed since I left you. I miss all of you, the memories of a happy and carefree childhood, my dear friends of yesteryear and the flavor of your differences, even if I never miss an opportunity to taste one of your delicious traditional dishes, or even scrutinize the less information about you even if my close family also lives outside of Algeria.
Recognition through sport
When I started this discipline, I had no idea that I was going to draw all this strength and energy from it. I’ve always run out of love and passion. I participated in competitions to win and obtain titles when I was younger. Over time, my perception of sport has changed. Since living in the United States, I’ve learned to overcome these limits of fear, especially when you’re in a big country like the United States where fear is bigger, how it works? Once you’ve crossed that threshold, your mind gradually opens up to a new culture. You end up adapting, especially since this country is welcoming.
A double culture to open up to the world
Use its cultural wealth and its language to open up to the world. I have learned to be more organized and spend a lot of time training, because I believe that there is no success without work and effort. Despite the vicissitudes of life, Flo reconciles professional and private with a certain brilliance, which is not always obvious in such a demanding world! It is in this state of mind that this athlete is transformed into a formidable competitor who goes from marathon to marathon, forging a foolproof mentality, while keeping this softness and this elegance which characterizes her.
Charity and humanitarian aid
I also help charities and associations that fund cancer research, as well as other diseases, famine and poverty around the world. So far, positive results have been achieved. Since 2016 I participated in six marathons , in 2018 I participated in Berlin, Chicago, and New York marathons within 50 days. As for this year, I was going to participate in London and New York marathons, in the near future I wish to participate in Algeria. All successful projects I accomplished, the decisions I have made, the art exhibitions I have seen, the discipline I have acquired and the culture of respect for others, have allowed me to open up to a greater knowledge of the world and people.
I wish everyone could be able to learn from others but unfortunately the wind does not always blow in the direction we want . We do not know what fate has in store for us, but life also offers great opportunities which sometimes have to be seized. I studied Anchology in Algeria and obtained a technical certificate in public health, which specializes in public care. Now I work real estate.
Many people use age as a an excuse, they stop halfway through their activity, while they still have a lot to contribute and pass on. The mental and physical states are the most important elements that drive us forward. This is what I often say to children and people I meet during these demonstrations, age is not an excuse to stop doing what we want to do . The older generation works miracles on the ground, and in other areas, through their own experiences.
This is the message I wanted to convey and share with you and wish you good luck for the future!
